WWE - I heard is edited before broadcast for India feed to cut some scenes (not suitable for Indian Viewers)

SKY SPORTS show less ad's, but they charge too very high. Check - Sky.com - Sky Products>Sky TV>Prices and Packages. SKY Sports is for £34 = Rs 2720 per month. Who is willing to pay that much :(
Here some people are even not ready to pay Rs 199 per year for Neo
One of the sports where we could see no ads during the match and its still interesting to watch is Football:thumbsup:

Why this obsession with Sky Sports. It can't come and that's that.
It would be great if Star & ESPN split and then sky might come to india but thats highly unlikely to happen atleast till ESS rights with ICC gets over by 2015

@kedarisvIf and when Sky Sports and other international channels come in, they are surely not going to beam their US/ UK feeds directly into the country. All feeds will be Asian/ Indian ones keeping in mind the sensibilities of the populace. As for pricing, that will have to be adjusted accordingly. When we pay for channels like Star Plus and AXN while similar channels are FTA in US, why should other channels not price themselves considering the market they are in?

Yes you are right, what I replied was for the query that SKY SPORTS will show live WWE and also that it has no ad's.
STAR PLUS (or any Indian channel) distributed outside (in US/Europe/AUS) are all paid (exception some DD/B4U Music/Zee Music channels) because viewers are paying to distributer to watch these channels and even the costs for this channels are very high then India (but this channels are without ad's).
In India (or abroad) revenue structure of channels decides it will be paid or FTA, so somewhere AXN may be free. (DD-India & DD-News channels are FTA in UK, because they shows local ad's and earn revenue and viewers can watch it free)

when they come to india. they would have to adhere to local rules and conditions...HBO in india is not the same HBO that US gets.

These movie channels should be made to show all ads at the start of the movie... They r pay channels and we still have to see ads on those channels... I miss those days when star movies and HBO used to telecast movies free from ads ...

Was that ad-free. I think they used to advertise that they will have only two breaks between movies. Please correct me if I am wrong.
To have ad-free pay channels is the right thing, but on the other hand, if you stand in their shoes, you will feel the pressure. On one side they need to maintain the ratings and popularity without raising the channel price and telecasting popular movies, and on the other side, they need to maintain the revenue growth and make the investors happy. Its a difficult balancing act and I feel that SM and HBO are doing a good job in India.

Yes, there are some channels that are good. And they have to show ads because if they go completely pay, everybody will desert them.Everybody knows that the problems is with the socialist mindset of the government and its many agencies. There is no competition in the terrestrial broadcasting space. And satellite tps are allocated like manufacturing licenses in pre-Narasimha Rao days. One of these days, DD will have to be privatised. Let people bid for terrestrial broadcasting rights. And most of India will then have free (or near free) access to lots of channels.

Where can i pick the List of the 255 Channels please provide the link / urlthankx Sabir
