Hmm... would be interesting to see how AB Corp Performs with this movie ... last time Big B went nuts with AB Corp :urock:

well aladin has turned out to be a disaster (no surprise there). this is a serious project. amitabh bachchan seems to excel in roles which are well not flamboyant. he plays the role of abhishek bachchan. this movie is going to get extreme reactions. either too good or too bad.

here is the story line base for 3 idiots:

Two friends embark on a quest for a lost buddy. On this journey they encounter a long forgotten bet, a wedding they must crash and a funeral that goes impossibly out of control. It is a story of their hostel days that swings between Rancho college romance with the spirited Pia [Kareena], and his clash with an oppressive mentor [Boman Irani].

3 Idiots is a comedy of ideas that is as provocative as it is funny, as wildly entertaining as it is insightful. A laugh-riot that talks about the most important of human pursuits: self-actualization.

I really doubt they would do something as stupid as that. Releasing it on DTH will just kill the film's chances at the multiplexes, more so considering this is the holiday season and people would like to spend more time at home.

----------

Also, this film, like most of Aamir's films, has very little chances outside multiplexes in the metros and Tier I cities, and hence a good run at these screens is a must for them to recover whatever the distributors have bought it for.

While watching on DTH is like renting a DVD, so both cannot be compared.

That is because most DTH in India is standard definition. When we have HD DTH (1080p), home viewing of films will be a far better experience. Most people (the target consumers, certainly) are also getting some form of home theater these days, so that closes the gap in sound department.

----------

These multiplex owners are scum. Most of the films are pirated thanks to them, they are only too willing to 'leak' the film the day it is released to settle scores and then pretend that one employee did it all on his own.

i had posted a new thread regarding the huge success of dth pay per view service....but dont no why has any moderator not yet approved it....if the processing time is going to take such a long time then i guess the forum would lose its charm...
