hi every1 , m new hereplz help me outta dis if u can.....m using BSNL Home combo 599 plan (speed 512 Kbps- 2 Mbps ), modem is Huawei Quidway WA 1003aproblem is that m getting only 50 KBps download speed in browser downloading (firefox, chrome) as well as in torrent downloaders (Bittorrent) and even disconnections occur.i have reported many a times at their office,.............but after a month long period they changed old copper wire wid a new one, but still no change is speed (........asssholes),then after 10-12 days on my complaint a BSNL employee ('engineer' whatever..... ) made a visit and checked the download speed which was still 50 Kbps, and he said "it's ok, it's just working fine, now just multiply 50 KBps into 8 , that's 400 Kbps or near about 512 Kbps" :ishock: but i argued that all of my friends are getting 240 - 260 Kbps (may vary), so he said that i m lying and it's not true.and that's it ..........:madness:plz tell me wat to do ...........guyz i don't want the whole 250 Kbps but atleast i deserve 150 or 170 kbps (.......indian mentality) , after all m paying 600 per month :wall:any suggestion will be appreciated.......................

1. Post your SNR and attenuation values. 2. Try TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net. 3. Download any file from Microsoft and check your speed. Report here.4. Try port forwarding for torrents.5. Disable your firewall / antivirus and check. Sometime, it blocks the connection.

hi thanks for reply............

here are the reports

1. SNR and Line attenuation values

hey can u tell me from which month
bcoz m a new BSNL customer, got connection from the month of July (both - land-line phone and broadband connection)
and having this headache from the very very start

1. Try a download manager. Internet Download Manager (IDM) will work fine. Or you can get a paid alternative.

2. Get your line checked. Poor line condition may the issue.
