@Kyle Crane We can see effects of increased power anytime. But as per report, the new rules come into existence from 1st Feb 2025 onwards.

The 1W power limit was really felt on Jio's Band n28 (700Mhz). It should have the BEST coverage but my phone always switched to LTE. I wondered what's the use of 700Mhz spectrum if it's gonna be even worse than Jio's Band 5 (850 Mhz) of 4G. 700Mhz frequency should have better range and wall penetration than 850Mhz isn't it? This power issue solves the puzzle.

@soulcube Airtel ceo must be happy or something

guys would we see improved 5G coverage from 1st Feb ?? especially with Jio's 700Mhz band?
since the EMF rules are eased and telecos can use 5W of power or something

Don't count on it. Even if the wattage has been increased, we have so many illegal buildings, construction projects, hoardings, someone statue, that it is sure to block the path of the EMF waves.

Surely, it might improve coverage, no doubt. But don't expect a jaw dropping improvement.
