Currently we are not in JP Nagar, but will launch soon.

It would be helpful if you could give me a time frame. Thanks.

I have taken their connection recently in Kodihalli, Bangalore and am extremely happy with the speed and service.1 day for collecting cheque and documents, 2 days for installation. Pretty good service. But the best part is the amazing speeds. Consistently getting 10 Mbps downlink and 6+ Mbps uplink speeds. I had an airtel connection before this and they were giving about 1-1.3 Mbps although the plan was for 2 Mbps. But with ACT the speed is as they have promised. So far, so good :)Plus, if you look at the data-plans vis-a-vis airtel, its a steal::Airtel -> 2 Mbps -> 10 GB limit -> 899+ taxesACT -> 10 Mbps -> 50 GB limit -> 999+ taxes + upload is not counted in 50 GB limit.Thats primarily because Airtel uses copper network backbone whereas ACT uses fibre optic whose carrying capacity is 100s of times higher. The likes of Airtel and BSNL have to pull up their socks pretty quick if they are to survive.

Can i come over and see for my own eyes. they way they have screwed me over i am wondering if anyone actually got decent speeds?
whats say ? my experience in another thread -- https://broadband.forum/act-broadband/76510-extremely-bad-service-avoid-connection/

@Lokesh: Sad to hear that. The new players need to be as consistent as airtel/bsnl etc for the long run. Hopefully it gets better.
For my part, getting pretty good speeds till date. Don't know how to attach snapshots here else wld have uploaded the same. :)

Absolutely. I too have taken an ACT BB connection in Jayanagar and am extremely happy with their speed and service.Yesdterday morning my connection was down for a n hour and after I registered a complaint, their engineer was in my premises in about 30 minutes.Ultimately, it turned out that the OFC Box accross the street had a loose power connection.I also agree that Airtel and BSNL have started taking consumers in India for granted. We need to teach them a lesson.

because Airtel is Airtel whereas ACT is ACT but ACT will give better service and reliable performance.

We need to teach them a lesson.

They won't change because
Nowadays, regional companies are heros and they're understanding value of customers.
Airtel, BSNL, Tata especially reliance are sleeping because they know that regional companies will buy from them. So, defintely they will make money.

@ACTian I'm put up at Ramamurthy Nagar and have been using 999 unlimited plan from 5 months. Kudos for giving a great service :) Got a question. Whats the cost for upgrading to static IP? Also I have opted for annual payment scheme, but there's no increase of 25GB in FUP as said in ur website. I still get 50GB. This is unfair towards old customers. Awaiting ur response. Thanks!! :)

Well... I've been using ACT since a Month now and I'm pretty happy with their service. Also, as promised, 10Mbps is the speed I'm getting. Seeing this I've subscribed for their 999 Annual Package, wherein I get 10Mbps upto 75GB and 512Kbps there onwards... this month I've used ¬80GB d/l and I find that its the apt package for me. Ofcourse my friends don't envy me coz they get to say that ACT is not reliable... AFAIK they're a NEW flourishing company who've got an EXCELLENT product to offer at hand. Companies, after all, are made of humans too... limited resources they have... I feel they would have got funding offers from Airtel, which they seem to have rejected. If they came under Airtel's Brand Name, they could EASILY have charged 3-4 times they currently do.

Need an Internet connection at Banaswadi, Bangalore. According to the website ACT is operating in that area. I have called the representatives today. NO one has called me back though. Can I know by when can i expect them to reply back? I need the internet connection a little urgently.
