Which locality in Bangalore are you in? I am in Kundalahalli Gate and my connection is working from 0803 hours,IST today.
I live in AECS Layout. Till 8AM I checked whether its working or not, It was not. Now it might be fixed, not sure. Not at home now. I got a message that my ticket is solved. Guess they had a downtime and would be fixed now.
Thank God its not another cable cut issue to my home. Its the first issue since past 6-7 months.

Hi ACT,
I am staying in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar(BSK 3rd stage). The ACT cable lines are there in one side of 80 feet road where as I am staying on the other side of the 80 feet road(couple of roads behind 80 feet road - in between Nandi enclave apartments and 80 feet road) and the cable is IN Bangalore. I have already raised a request in customer care but I haven't got any response from them even after 10 days. Yesterday I had called the ACT cable guy providing service in this area. His response was he can give the connection only in his service area. I am feeling like near but still so far to get the connection. I am ready to go for 6 months subscription(15mbps Rs.999 plan) at the beginning. Is it possible for you to provide the broadband connection in this case? Could you please help me on this.
Regards,
Bala

I have dealt with several different kinds of service providers in my life, here in India and abroad. Usually I have seen bad service providers AT LEAST have good before sales service and pathetic after sales service. However, Act is an exception, their before sales service sucks too so I had a first hand experience on what to expect after sales.
I called up their customer care to enquire about a new connection and availability in my area. The lady I spoke to could not hear me for some reason, even though I was speaking as loud as I can speak. She asked me for my name, address and contact number. I gave her the name, address and she said they will respond in 24 hours. Note I DID NOT share my contact number yet. I asked how they will get in touch and she said they will call me ... I asked how they can call because I never shared my contact number and her reply was "Whats your number?" ... woow ... this is for new connection ... lol
Just wondering why setup a new connection enquiry facility if there is not intention of following up? Just be honest and say, "we don't need your business". I would appreciate that response more than the above experience.

My experience is in complete contrast of what you have stated above. I used the online form to register my details and my connection was provided in exactly 10 hours spread across 2 working days. FYI, I am in Kundalahalli Gate.
