Software giants Adobe which recently acquired major competitor Macromedia has announced their latest software offering named Acrobat 3D. Acrobat 3D is a high-end version of Acrobat and is aimed at CAD/CAM users who would now be able to display three-dimensional images within PDF documents.

Whenever I come to this site my acrobat reader open on its own ( using IE). All other sites r working fine. Is it just for me or everyone who use this site ?

I never experienced this. Are you simultaneously opening any web page with pdf in IE or you are just browsing through this forum?

I don't realise the reason to use such a heavy and bulky package just to read and edit pdf files, when lightweight and free substitutes like Foxit are available.

Foxit isnt totally free. It just has a free version just like adobe does
