Hi... i have been using unlimited plan for abt 4-5 months. I never had any problem.Im using a UT Starcom - UT300R2U BSNL ADSL Router. My username and password settings in the router get reset automatically after few hours... Actually... all the settings get reset to default.I have to each time save my username/password in the router. Sometimes username/password dosent get saved at all.. then i have to try again..It gets difficult...Plz help me.... what could be the problem....Thanks in advance

After typing user name/password, just save it . Click on Save and Reboot ! After reboot, check whether it is still there ? Because, you need to save the settings for this to be there or else it will stay till a restart (power failure) !If it doesnt work afterwards, just ask for a replacement with bsnl guys :)

I Save and Reboot each time i save the username/password still it gets reset to default after few hours...

Hmm.. try that.. but, for the person who wants to hack should keep tracking your ip as it keeps on changing when modem gets restarted ! It is always a better idea to change your password on router !

well i had faced a similar problem.. with ut300r2u.. whatever setting i make and try to save.. it doesnt save in the end.. it just goes back to default settings.. i had this problem when connected via USB.. it seemed to be kinda OK when connected via LAN

members/venkygec/Modem problem : ut300r2u. settings not saved. Option 1 : Change to Dialer/Wanminiport "bridged" mode.Check whether other settings are stable in modem.Info needed: Post screenshot of your modem's WAN page. and Device status page. .

I am facing a similar problem with my ZXDSL 831 modem.. i don think anyone is trying to access my router using wan ip.. sometimes it gets reset even in 5 mins.. :( I am using bridged mode now..
