I use RSS feeds but damn i m not the first downloader even then since few folks on 1gbps connections, they grab in 5 seconds only with tweaked RSS settings..

Im getting this plan too...But i hav lots of doubts?Will it be sufficient to play online games...?I have a PS3,xbox360,PSP and PC.I play in all of these.wiill i be able to share a single connection using a router?Please advice

Yes. You will get pretty good gaming with a tiny bit of lag.

from above results , i see that upload is severely capped.. isnt this bad for torrents?

Your upload speed has not been upgraded. It should be atleast 512 kb/s!

Hello guys...

I have finally gotten the 1MBPS UL Plan from Airtel @ Rs. 2222 Per Month.

I am going to be doing a mini-review of sorts and if you have any questions you can post it here...

So here goes...

I applied for the plan last Wednesday but nothing happened that week or weekend. Only after calling them up a few times did something happen.

Then... they upgraded my plan from the 512 UL Plan (1499 PM) to the 1MBPS UL Plan (2222 PM ). I got the plan a few days ago and if I remember correctly it was either Monday or Wednesday... I was happy when I got this plan and I went straight to check the download speeds... I did not save any records but it was around 1050 D/L and 500 U/L.

Here is my current speed test:





As you see downloading speeds are very good but upload speeds vary alot. I sometime get 600 and something 400 and something 700... it is wierd.

I downloaded a 10GB torrent. I added it on 2:25 on the 13th and it finished at 11:00 on the 14th. I had to shut down the computer for about 6 hours in the middle though. My avg. speed on that torrent was 116.3 kB/s.

This plan is very good for anyone who wants fast downloads and almost stable uploads.
