Okay here's the whole story:-I've got an airtel 1mbps ul connection, paying 2222pm.The Modem is supplied by airtel- a beetel 220bx adsl2+ modemWith all settings of port forwarding, i manage to get direct connection through utorrent.I also have installed a Wifi router - A D-Link DI524 router. Now ever since i did that, the upload speeds have been terrible, and not even 10kB/s, so i read on a page about how to create a "Bridge" connection. So i did that, first connected to my airtel modem via 192.168.1.1/main.html and set up a bridge connection, and thenconnected up my DI524 and set up a PPPoE connection with my username and password in it. The setup worked perfectly EXCEPT for one tiny problem, with the airtel modem connected through DI524, i am not able to access 192.168.1.1 or the main page. The thing just doesn't load, giving an error as "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.'Now when i remove my wifi router and directly connect through the modem, i can access the settings page.. but not through the router. Can someone tell me what i'm screwing up? i really wanna access the modem through my router because of a reconnect method im trying. (batch file which helps me switch off and switch on my modem automatically only works through 192.168.1.1...) if any more info needed i will post.. please help folks. :(

set the Linksys ip to say 192.168.1.100 .. but remember it should be outside the router dhcp range.. say bsnl router dhcp range is 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.10 .. you can have your linksys ip from anywhere between 192.168.1.11 - 192.168.1.254..but not between 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.10
