Airtel 3G Tariffs and Packages

Hi Airtel Presence. Are you there. Do you have any update on 3G. At least can you through some lights like end of 2011 Q1 or end of this months.Now MNP is launched. I am seriously think to move my all airtel no to BSNL. I am holding 5 airtel mobile numbers for my family for last 6 years. -Kannan M

I have decided, airtel does not launch by this month end, am going to use MNP and change to BSNL for 3G.Too much time wasted wasting for 'FUP' Airtel.

Airtel presence can you please atleast tell what is causing the delay of 3G launch? When new airtel logo was launched airtel was sure and even released a press release saying they are on track to launch 3G by December 2010 end. Now its already 21 days in January and there is no news on launch of 3G except saying coming soon.

I think Airtel will launch its 3G services on 26 Jan or well with-in this month otherwise Airtel has to suffer loss of many current as well as new subscriber with MNP in place now; Aircel which is supposed to launch 3G with-in 30 days from now and 4G testing within this quarter will be the major gainer. If we see the current trend and reports, Aircel seems to be the player in the market who has gained number of subscribers after the MNP launch and ARICEL is also playing a smart game where-in instead on believeing in price-wars it is focusing on content and quality services to the subscribers/customers.

From what I hear from the Sales Manager @ Airtel Chennai, 3G is to be launched before 1 week of February. Airtel and Vodafone would be launching services pretty much at the same time.

Last time they said December end and they didn't even talk about why they are delaying it....

Vodafone says the delay is due to some Gateway issues with BSNL which is causing the delay.

I just got off a call with airtel customer care. Tentative date of commercial launch of Airtel 3G in Bangalore and Chennai will be 24th January... I hope they keep the promise this time!

Okay..its CONFIRMED OFFICIALLY that Airtel will launch 3G in Bangalore and Chennai on 24th Jan.
