Yes, my friend tried with a Galaxy S5 4G. Maybe it's the speed test server that's limiting speed to 15Mbps.

Good phones, both of them, so we can easily rule out the possibility of they phone issues. I guess the network is either not optimized or they are throttling the speeds with the intent of fair usage

In hyderbad Airtel use lte fdd with pair of 5mhz spectrum which supports max dl speed of 19.8mbps while in karnataka it's using 20mhz tdd lte which supports 49mbps max speed.

Makes sense, yes I'm almost forgot. Higher bands provide higher bandwidth for better speeds but penetration wouldn't be great... The other way around for lower bands
