Airtel 4G LTE Launched in Delhi NCR

Supposedly launching sometime this week from what I've been told.

Why? I hear 4G is pretty good here in India. When Reliance Jio launched, prices will come heavily down.

I plan to stay away from Airtel as much as possible. Can't even make calls properly on their mobile network from my place.

Oh. Where exactly do you live? I had some issues in Vasant Kunj area but now all good. Great speeds on 3G also.

I tested their 4G network here in Nagpur. They do not promise any particular speed(although they did say "upto 40mb/s"), I got ~30Mb/s down:

However, their plans are pretty costly compared to the other providers I've used, but I guess with the speed, its kinda justified. Their network seems really nice, but they don't have city wide coverage, at least not here.

Has anyone here managed to get hold of Airtel 4G SIM and try the TD-LTE service? How is the download speed like on new network?

I have iPhone 6 plus but use Vodafone prepaid. Will port to Airtel if 4G speed is good and cost is same as Vodafone 3G.
