Try the test when your speed is slow then. You could also try utorrent's speed guide test - that should show if the speeds are reduced

Well its not to do with speed settings in the torrent client software. Speeds have been throttled for many users and even I'm facing such issues in daytime. However, as someone mentioned that yesterday speeds were absolutely normal in daytime, which I agree to. Today, its a different story altogether.

Depends. peers during day might be different. Not enough seeds/peers. Congested networks. Lots of variations.

Even if peer/seed are a bit less it will not remain contant at 50Kbps, it will fulctuate for sure, like on 2mbps connection it can fluctuate between 10-200 kbps, but if it remains constant at 50 kbps and does not cross that , it means our speed is throttled...

Moreover direct downloads are getting higher speed means you do have the speed...

you didn't get my point. Never said settings were the problem. I asked the person to perform the speed test to confirm throttling.

Myself having 1 mbps plan
Link below shows the real speed i'm getting on torrents during days:
torrent.jpg
with true speed on http

And also when i complained about this through mail they called me with reply they don't deal with third party software.
these f**kng b***rds think customers are their a*ses and they can fool us with lame excuse but reality is that torrent is a protocol(uTP) and P2P technology with multiple connections connected to a host which they can throttle easily and does not depend upon any f**kng software.

It is a still an issue at my end. I am on a private torrent site and speeds dont ever go beyond 50-60kbps in the morning. However as soon as I connect to my VPN service which is iPredator, I automatically get 3 to 4 MBPS. The same speeds are also achievable on public torrents.

Same here..its been a month since i have been throttled....speed increases only after 11pm.....its capped in daytime :( even after my bill cycle is reset airtel dosen't give upgraded speeds on p2p ..and only an increment is seen at night after 11pm...its been very frustrating X(
