Airtel Broadband blocking torrents and file sharing services

My Torrents are also throttled I guess.. down to 50kbps.. And I'm supposed to be on a 2 mbps plan.

If most of you are facing this torrent speed throttling problem, why don't you guys have a talk with the people @ airtel's corporate office. That's what I would have done.

wow!! what a FIX..worked liked a charm... the solution number 1 and 3 worked perfect. i prefer Halite as it is in english completely , i am now getting full torrent speeds without using any VPN.. thanks for the solution

I guess stuff like this needs to be moved to the backroom not for legal reasons but so that the Airtel Presence guys lurking here don't see it and report it back to Airtel, thereby rendering it useless.

I dont think that Airtel can do anything about this...let it be here..and some ppl have report that fix #3 is working like a charmSent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk

Oh you'd be surprised at what Airtel can do. I've been using good old encryption on Vuze to counter Airtel's speed throttling, works like a charm for me too, but it won't take Airtel long to figure out ways around it. ISPs are getting smarter day by day, do not make the mistake of underestimating them.

i dont know why encryption isn't working around the traffic shaping with utorrent...
