This whole scenario is filled with too many WTFs. Why would the ISPs be responsible for content on websites? I don't think even the hosting provider can be held accountable for that completely. IMO, the HC should've just asked the plaintiffs to send out DMCA (is this applicable to India?) take-down orders to the sites concerned and closed the case. And, I don't see why the ISPs didn't fight back saying that they shouldn't have to spend time and energy on preventing piracy of the said movies over the Internet, where ever they may occur. And even if they did, it's just impossible. If the ISPs didn't expound this point to the law, they are tacitly accepting responsibility for all the content posted everywhere on the Internet. So, tomorrow, what's to prevent some dumbass politician from asking the ISPs to block youtube (or, half the Internet) or news media outlet because there's a video there that he/she finds offensive?

i am downloading a torrent with around 2000 seeders and 3000 leechers connected... for about 10 minutes the download speed remains 200kBps and then it drops to 10 kBpshate airtel now. i tried so many torrents both with private and public trackers but still the same result.Edit: tested with reliance 3g.. same torrent is giving me 500-600KBps download speed.so airtel is throttling my torrents now.. :(

BTW - Guys just curious to know, can we land up in trouble, if we access any blocked site through a VPN?

I mean any sort of legal issues? Coz the message the comes by default is - "Access blocked as per Court Orders!

"

No.. u won't ..One can land in legal trouble even if u download something illegal from the site which is unblocked.. So its the content which u r downloading tht matters ..

It's tough living in China.... Oh wait... we are in India, right?? Well, at least the names of the country are different..

It's not like they are throttling just torrent traffic. It's like:
Download speed remains above X, for Y long = throttle.
