city- delhi
plan- swift 512 unlimited
fare usage policy implemented - yes :madness:

one more thing guys how would i know about how much i have downloaded..??

I am thinking of switching over to Airtel but am just curious, how exactly did you know that this "fair use policy" is implemented on your connection if you don't even know the amount of data you have downloaded?

I don't think such things happen in Delhi (most of the time). I have noticed the a lot of complaints with services like Sify are from users outside Delhi, mostly southern states. Either way, Airtel has indeed throttled my speed in the past (a long time ago, I switched to Sify again) so I won't be surprised if they tried something that stupid all over again.

Maybe instead of paying talentless hacks like Shahrukh to act in another AD, they should spend that money on improving their crappy services (mobile/broadband).

I recently called customer care , and I was told the Fair Usage limits are around 25 GB for plans like 1099, 1299 . I was surprised when I was told by the rep that I was having 75 GB on my present connection (384 kbps, 1099 plan). Can anyone confirm?I stay in Hyderabad.

Yes, old customers enjoy higher FUP limits while the FUP limits have been reduced for new customers.

^ You can still check it by logging into their website. There, under unbilled usage, you can see the amount of traffic. Do let us know if you find it.
