I just spoke to the Nodal officer regarding my complaint and here are the highlights:
[*]Overall the call was pretty much like any CC call but the person on the other end seemed to know a bit more than a regular CC guy
[*]The Nodal officer CC said that Airtel has recieved permission to go ahead with this policy from TRAI which I refused to believe. I asked them to supply me a copy of the correspondance as I need to take up this issue with TRAI in the name of RTI. They said they will get back to me regarding this.
[*]I asked them how can you come up with a policy which allows you only 10% of the download possible on the spped of the plan and then cut it in half? Again, will get back to you.
[*]In the heat of the moment, I also asked who is Airtel to decide that 15GB or 20 GB is enough for me when I am in an unlimited plan. Again, will get back to you.
[*]I asked them whether this is a countrywide policy, they said yes and then put me on hold to confirm when I said people from NCR are not complaining. They said will get back to you.
[*]I told them all about trying to get a new connection and the salesperson saying no limits and no FUP. They took details of the call and the CC guy's name to investigate.
[*]The best part was this statement from the Nodal officer - "There is a lot of confusion around the FUP and you are not the only one affected. Give us some time and we will get back to you sir."
[/list]I'm waiting for the day I can take this to the Appellate Authority at Airtel and ask plainly whether they are removing the stupid limits and stupid FUP or should I take my downloads elsewhere. That will be the decider for me.
In the meantime, I understand that this is not a countrywide issue for Airtel sa they have not rolled it countrywide but for the people affected, please
KEEP UP THE PRESSURE - IT'S WORKING!!!
have you taken down a complaint number and this guy' name?
if yes, raise a complaint on the
pgportal and quote these details and what he said to you about the 'go ahead' from them.
