I have passed on the e-mail address to my other frnds also.. They would also send mails..

TRAI dosent have any powers.Contact DOt.I have called them and emailed them.WE must put pressure otherwise this would be the norm in all isps and what not other things that are planned

1 Mbps = 150 GB data limit per month - after that speed reduced to 512kbps

I have official confirmation from Airtel senior CC people that the limit on 1 Mbps is 50GB and not 150 GB. Please make corrections wherever applicable in your letters.

TRAI may be an advisory body but some of its advice has indeed been followed.

See this article - ISPs irked at TRAI's new net norms- Internet -Infotech-The Economic Times

ISPs are totally unhappy but I for the fact am happy that TRAI has responded to user complaints with this paper on BB QoS. I hope some part of this recommendation will be followed for the betterment of bb service in India.

A simple Maths.A 256kbps airtel broadband connection has 256kbps upload & 256kbps download.ie, 256/8 = 32KB for 1 second.1min= 32KB*60 = 1920KB.1hour = 1920KB*60 = 115200KB = 115MB.1 day = 115MB*24 = 2760MB = 2.76GB.30 days = 2.76GB*30 = 82.8GB.so a user can download 82.8GB in a 256kbps connection/month.also he can upload 82.8GB/month.So totaly a user data transfer/month is 82.8+82.8 = 165.6GBNow airtel gives 10% of the data transfer 15GB to its users.In 384kbps connections, its 248.8GB/month.Aitrel gives 10% ie 25GB/month.512kbps connection, its 331.77GB/monthAirtel gives 40GB/month.1mbps connection it is 663.5GB/monthAirtel gives 150GB/monthAirtel says its a govt policy.Its not govt policy.Its politicians policy.Untill Mr.dayanithi maran was telecom minister, every 3-4 months, for every major festivals, he announced some rate cut or some surprises to telecom users. After Mr.Raja became minister, their is no surprises.

Okay even am gonna mail them.Am scared wheather MTNL will follow suit and cap me..TRAI is a impotent Board.I don't think it will help much by contacting them.DOT will surely kick Airtel's ass.

10% of 256k connection is 16.5 gb,they are only providing 15 gb.10% of 1mbps is 66gb,they are giving 50Gb.and its nothing about 10%.WE should get 100% period. If you cant handle the usage then freeze new UL plans and upgrade your infrastructure
