Now surely BSNL etc will follow suit in taking India further backwards

haa haa,
bsnl started to inflate their data usage usage form December already,
i paid 5K+ for last 2 month without using (i was out on vacation around 14 days, still i their site shows data usage)
im playing merry-go-round with bsnl, thinking to switch to airtel :wall:
i have no where to go now

I have no idea what's going on here. 3 days ago I called their CS and inquired about the fair use policy, the guy told me it had been implemented and that after using up my 50GB data allocation, my speed would be halved. I then lodged a complaint about how I was not informed about the policy and the guy told me that my complaint would be taken care of before 16th feb. I got a call from Airtel today, and the guy had no clue about the fair use policy. He even asked and called me back, he basically said there was no such policy. Either it hasn't been implemented in NCR region yet or these guys are terribly misinformed.
