Internal Server Errorlooks like the site is using inline frames for tariffs. god knows why they cannot make the tariff page accessible in a simpler layout.

I think the interesting issue here is that Airtel thinks that while introducing this policy, they will upset a very few percentage of users who have unlimited broadband. But there are bigger ramifications of this:- The unlimited broadband users are usually the tech savvy kind of users (no disrespect to others here) who scour the internet for technology, media and entertainment. They are a curious bunch with a humungous appetite and above average knowledge of all things tech. These also happen to be the people the other not-so-tech-savvy people go to and ask "kaunsa broadband lagwaun yaar?" or "I need to have a media center setup and some killer broadband to go with it, which one do you say?". Airtel has so royally screwed this small but influential set of people that Airtel will pay for the ramifications with their blood!- They have managed this very very shoddily and is a PR disaster! Whoever came up with the idea of cutting down speeds without even letting their customers know?- The post-effects were also handled very very shabbily. I mean C Lakshmi is not the only one who has been promised calls and never to get a call back, I have had the exact same experiences after multiple escalations. On top of that if you call for a new connection, they lie through their teeth and say there is no limit on unlimited connectionsI pledge, that unless Airtel revokes this stupid archaic policy and repay me for all the agony I have gone through, I will give up all Airtel services and would never recommend this service to anyone. I will also say the worst things about them and tell everyone what liars they are even if it needs exaggeration at times to get the point across.

great. so they are finally officially accepting this new policy. should be good to refer to in mails to trai/dot.

the file would soon be online :) they have shown enough besharmi in the recent days. nothing left to hide. :)

i want to see what trai/dot does on this matter. if they don't save us bandwidth huggers..it will be a big disappointment, a step back to stoneage and a complete wipeout of whatever little faith i had in indian policymakers.

I bet this "Airtel Fair Usage Policy" is "Airtel Fair Looting Policy" wil be only for South States - AP, TN, KTK, KRL It is time people relocated :p

It sucks that ISP have different plans for different region. Its not the cost that decides the plans but the competition they have in a particular state.

TRAI should make it compulsory to have similar plans for all states.

The AFUP link is there in tariff pages for all regions, so I think they are implementing it in same manner for all.
