hmmm but then why the hell did they remove the plans in guj... am geting the feeling that they are going to impliment it in gujarat toooo now .. irrited with this now. and why is this development not so much in news?????? what is the media doing or is it that airtel has paid $$$ to shut them up?

I have a friend whos working with airtel. He asked some head of gujarat, he said that there is no such policy implemented in gujarat, 100Rs increase in plan change was because they are providing free 100 Rs call with 1599 512ul plan.. Low speed UL plan are closed but major plans are still working and i'll still be billed according to 1499 and not 1599 .... HOPEFULLY Everything will go good

At last, the barrage of attacks from so many affected customers seem to have instilled some sense into the AIRTEL management. They have now relented and I find that I am getting back my original speed of 256 kbps (or nearabout) for the past two hours or so. But no one from AIRTEL has called me to inform me about this yet.Victory at last?

heh. if the policy is in place, they would reduce the speeds every month. are you going to argue with them every month to get back the speeds? it's not going to work unless the company decides to take back this new policy for the entire country.

Rolling it out in only South, makes it seem like they were experimenting. If people are getting back their speeds, it's most likely that the experiment was a failure. As it should be.

i got a response from TRAI that they are will seriously look into this. So if more users join in and write to TRAI..it would benifit all.DONT let ISP's implement Fair Usage Policy.
