^ good point... how do we get the uploads part into the picture? What re the upload speeds for the different plans?

i can transfer upto 5.4 gb roughly in 24 hours. that way, my connection speed lasts a lil less than three days. 9.6% authorised availability of promised speed as against 100% payment.

Some of the people are not able to find some of the plans. Some plans have been moved to the tab "Internet Plans" from the tab "Broadband plans". Because Airtel knows that after reducing the speeds on 256kb UL plans it wont be able to call it broadband as per TRAI regulations. Hence some plans moved to the tab "Internet Plans". I dont know if same is the case in all the cities. But in Karnataka this is the case. :P

It's true for Mumbai :@:madness::@

59 pages and all i hear is RANT.Let me tell you what i did when airtel reduced the upload speeds.I sent a letter(not email) to TRAI and went to my local consumer court.Cuz of this the marketing dept called me the the upload speeds were fixed.NOT a SINGLE one of you have balls to touch aritel.WHY cuz this is INDIA.YOu think that o i dont want to go to legal stuff as it would take years.WHy dont you file a case in consumer court.The case would automatically goto TDSAT.WE need someone to take this initiative.I have to give my exams so i wont be able to do this but if admin does this then each and every airtel gurgaon user should support him by going to the consumer court with him otherwise this rant would be futile.capping 16mbps to 250gb is one thing but capping 245k to 20 gb and reducing the speed in half is another thing.why not sushub?.JUST DO IT:thumb:

no mate, they're not in loss by any means. they have already given out all the connections they could on their existing last mile. they have to majorly upgrade their systems to be able to keep providing connections and speeds promised. so they came out with a plan to juice out the existing infra for a lil bit longer. the QOS paper made them sense that soon enough their last mile congestion problem will get them if trai does bring out a qos guideline.

Not true, their mobile telephony div is under govt investigation for 'creative accountancy' :evil:. Looks like sab satyam ke chele :)

Well, I can only do anything when my own speeds are affected. Till now, my speeds have been alright. I am otherwise in full support of this protest... Doing the best I can right now.

STOP being so goddamn abrasive!!!

What do you think we are doing? Trying to get a petition going.

And as Sushubh said, you can only go to consumer court if it affects you. So if Airtel doesn't implement FUP in Delhi, none of us in Delhi can go to court.
