I have already used 6.55 gb of my 25 gb quota and i am using my net conservatively. My speed would be slowed down by mid month billing cycle.Thats just great.I will again remind all of you that online petitions dont do anything as they are not legal. Its sad that not a single news channel is covering this up.

online petitions spread awareness creating a nuisance for the company in question.

Yes online petitions are not legal. But in my opinion the intention of the petition is not to go for a legal battle. I think the main purpose of the petition is to make existing and new consumers of Airtel broadband aware that such a unfair policy exists which is detrimental to our interest.

Imagine someone wanting to take a new connection googles about ISP and finds this about Airtel. I am sure someone with brains after reading all that has been written in the petition and other tabs there would not go for Airtel, unless if there are no other ISP's available for him.

So in this way we can hurt Airtel where it hurts. For now Airtel might think this is not a problem, but think of the day BSNL improves its staff and customer service people. I would surely switch to them. I assume so would others.

What do you mean ?

Customer Enrollment Form

clause 2.2 Service quality, Functionality, availability and/or reliability maybe affected, and/or Bharti Airtel Limited entitled to, without any Liability whatsoever, refuse, limit, suspend, vary or disconnect the service, in whole or in part at any time in its discretion, with respect to one/all Customers without any notice for any reason which is found to be responsible by Bharti Airtel Limited including, but not limited, to the following..

And each one of us has consented to this by putting our signatures on the contract..

I am qouting this post again as I believe some people still think we have a legal case against Airtel. I have verified the above statements and they are printed on the enrollment form.

I got my 256kbps speed back around 7PM. But the download speed is unstable varying from 20-32kB in every minute. I think its time. Airtel screwed up their network. It was perfect before, but its now like BSNL & other ISPs. Soon their CC also come to like other ISPs CC due to recession. Welcome back to 20th century.:(:(:(

BOSS, read what i wrote in response to this. contracts can be illegal too. once assessed in a legal framework, they go for a toss. 'nuff said.

and the main point here is not that i am planning to sue airtel. i am going to give them publicity ( bad or good, they gotta assess :) ), lots of it, and even paying for it ( by using their deficient service.)
