dude. do something. you would probably have gained 1000s of new customers right now in each city just with this shift in strategy from airtel!

Going as fast as I can. Apart from negotiating the purchase of a 25% stake in another ISP, why else you think I've flown out to this little rock in the south Pacific? If you guessed that I am on my way to Wellington to convince your diplomat to help me get things-a-moving and that I'm good for your country... you'd be right!

But at the same time, do you think we could handle an influx of thousands of customers in such a short span of time? I'd hate to collapse under our own weight, if you get what I mean.

i guess their management team has taken an informed decision.

from most of their recent policy decisions, it looks like they do not want customers like us who use the web 'properly'.

they are most likely to end up catering to uncles and aunties which might be a low revenue segment but highly profitable.
exactly! they are targeting only those segment of users who i think might be more than 50%-70% of their total users

hehe. well i can say one thing for sure. if airtel does not fix this latest mess they have created for us the customers... i am finally prepared to give up airtel for any other player. :D

and well you can always have a waiting list for interested customer while you are expanding your operations.

i bet most people would find it annoying but it is better to have a waiting list rather than to accommodate everyone and messing it up for yourself and the consumer.

Yep. I'm also willing to give up Airtel if they don't clear up the FUP mess.

Can anybody confirm whether Fair Usage Policy is applicable to the 649 plan (now upgraded to 512kbps) in NCR? I had crossed the limit (dunno what) in the first month i was upgraded (about 4 months back) but subsequently i haven't been limited to 256... in the last 31 days alone (my billing cycle is ending today), utorrent shows me i have 22gigs transferred (TV shows unavailable here in India :D) and i haven't been limited so whats up with that?

i dont think they have changed FUP of any existing plan. if you change your plan you are FCUKED.
