looks like the only way out would be to grease some linesmen to find a way to replace the wiring coming to your house. :(

Its a new connection! Brand new wiring! And line stats are fine! SNR is good! I think this is a problem with MTNL itself!

well the wiring from the local box to your place might be new. the problem might be in the wiring leading to that box. that makes the whole shit rather complicated.

No no .. Might be some problem from mtnl's End .. It can be usuable with torrents or else why other ppl would have opt for mtnl???

1. What plan are you on?2. When you have your torrents running, what speed (in kilobytes per second) are you getting?

I'm on the 512kps plan.. Upload speed is 256kbps.. Torrents are *only* seeding, I have QoS set up on my dd-wrt router.. I've manually set upload speed to 155kbps, but when I start seeding torrents, I experience MAJOR packet loss (upto 60% packet loss)Edit: I also have a limit of 50 connections on the torrent client.

Did u check with ur neighbours or any1 who uses mtnl in your area??? Howz MTNL for them.

No one uses MTNL :(
