What area are you from? And do you know a way to get my upload speed changed to 512kbps? The CC guys are clueless :|

Is your modem upstream 256 kbps? Have you tried emailing [email protected]? They usually fix the problem immediately, if your upstream is 256, email them with a screenshot of your modem upstream and other a/c details.

today i got mtnl wiring done, i applied on monday, the guy came to my place on tuesday to inspect, and today they put the wiring and telephone is working, net shouldve worked too but i suppose they are yet to configure something at their end.i got one question, the phone line that mtnl uses is those thin wires while airtel one was a thick one, what is the difference between the quality of the wires?

No difference in quality, just type of cable. MTNL must be using Cat3, Airtel must be using Cat5e or 6. Difference: number of wires (4 instead of 8), otherwise fundamentally the same, and using the same connectors.

Just wondering how the Airtel Wire-line BB with their pathetic FUP will differentiate itself from 3g and other wireless broadband services. - Heavy users are going to switch to other providers. - Why should normal users take Airtel DSL? They can go for 3g /other wireless data cards and have added advantage of mobility ( similar pricing )I don't think they'll get new customers in future. They would want to squeeze existing customers to the MAX for more revenue, which will sure back fire.Future of Wireline BB :High speed + FUP which is really Fair : Surviveelse Perish.
