Airtel Broadband is now offering 40mbps plans in Chennai

@mhsabir I saw the same plan which you have mentioned in an area close to us. 175GB for 1099. I thought it was 75GB by mistake it is 175GB.

190 GB for Rs.1099 ? :O It might be the introduction offers. I have dropped a mail to airtel CC, keeping their Nodal Officer in loop.

It is the same, normal plan is 90GB and after the offer it is 100GB + 90GB for 3 months and by the way where did they display this banner?. Good luck all who have Airtel broadband feasibility

I'm currently on 40mbps-150Gb @Rs.1499.

Not sure about the 100mbps plans.

Seems like you have to live closer (<400 meters) to the DSLAM to get speeds above 40 Mbps. They also offer it over fiber but AFAIK it is available only in select locations.

Yes. I was also told 75&100mbps speeds are not feasible for my connection.

Yes. I was able to get a cheaper plan as well as more data for 6 months by calling CC.

Airtel executive offered me 40 mbps + VDSL Router but wanted me to change my BB PLAN from 1099 to 1299. I denied it

Anyways..you all know that they charge INR 1000(200x5 months) for the VDSL modem.
Is it inclusive of taxes?

Not aware - But Airtel never mention tax inclusive prices - So yeah expect it to work out to 1150 (230*5)...
