Airtel Broadband is now offering 40mbps plans in Chennai

Thanks to much needed competition. I cannot wait for Jio to unveil it's plans for FTTH and looking at their LTE tariff, fiber plans are definitely going to be pan India. It's not fair that Airtel offers more GB for the same rental in selected cities. Also up to 5 Mbps post FUP only for Hyderabad circle.

Right & thats why I told them to come back to me when they are ready. I mean, who knows what plans they would offer then - why should I pay 1000 bucks without even getting any real benefit. And more so now, as the plans have again changed.

I was offered 1499 225GB 40Mbps and 1999 350GB 40Mbps & I chose the former.

The 350GB plan is not listed in their website lol. I see what they're trying to do here. They don't want people from other cities to complain because they only offer them ~ 200GB for the same rental. Classic Airtel.

I was also offered 350GB for Rs. 1999/-

I'm currently on 150GB at Rs. 1499/-

Due to an impulsive move 2 weeks back, I also got ACT - Rs. 1499 for 225Gb download & unlimited upload @100mbps.

What should I do? What should i do now?

what city are you from? i am looking for details on higher capacity plans on airtel but their website just list up to 220GB!

I guess I need to buy new HDDs. I don't like streaming. Also, I'd then have to spend extra money for netflix when I can FTP anything I want from elsewhere.
