if the modem is 220Bx1 or 110BX1
go to maintenance and disable tr_069 client and snmp options
Or in DSL page uncheck adsl2+.

Modem replacement is not a big problem for Airtel.
as you had given NON refundable security amount Rs 500/ or Rs 1000/=

cud u post the screenshot for this and the exact router page address???

Connect your laptop/PC directly to the ADSL Router via an ethernet cable.
Once connected, open Internet Explorer (or any other browser)
In the address bar, type http://192.168.1.1/main.html

It should ask you for a username and password. If you have never changed it, the default is
U: admin
P: password

Once logged in, on the left menu, click on Management. Then on the submenu, click "TR-069 Client". There you can disable the client in the "inform" section.

Will post screenshots soon.
These screenshots will be for the Beetel 220BX1.

Here are a couple of screenshots.
You don't need screenshots really.

The images I posted were for a 220BX1.
What are you using?

----------

And have you tried under SNMP options?

after logging in 192.168.1.1/main.html
see the menu page.
Now change IP as 192.168.1.1/look.html
You will get a page like this. Mine is 110BX1
( NO USB PORT).
This clearly shows the FW version and software versions.
Code:
रगयकऱधरंपञओौऔठ V8.24.01.01 पञऔॆजध T2Q-0Q-007

Did upgrading firmware solve the problem?
i guess yes....bt the link i provided...is it safe to use FW frm there?
