can anyone explain this to me? this is the only information that their backend provides me regarding internet usage.

1 unit = 10 kilo byte

i meant timing. does it show that i consumed 3.2 GB of data between midnight and 3am on 5th October?

not getting you the first report is at around 4:26 am. what i remember from 4th night. i started downloading at around 9pm. i had around 2GB of data left for that billing cycle. i went to sleep after setting alarm for midnight. i woke up for a couple of moments just after 12 midnight to shut down the computer. woke up at around 3am again. and saw that 3.2GB was gone from my account. my own bandwidth monitor shows that i had downloaded just around 180MB after midnight on 5th morning when i checked the usage details. are you saying that airtel counted my usage from 4th night into 5th just because i did not restart the modem at around midnight?also. i do not restart my modem for days. i do it when my connection is behaving weirdly. so basically... the counter should be continues unless of course airtel goes down and the modem restarts by itself :|

That image shows your usage from 04:26 on OCT 5. Your usage between midnight and 04:26 will be part of the previous session. If you hadn't downloaded anything during this period or if you had shut down your computer, then there should be no usage.BTW, I didn't know you have decided yo get your Airtel connection disconnected and go for BSNL. What plan are you going for?

It seems to be resetting by itself periodically every few hours....maybe because of dynamic ip ?

so it does show that i had consumed just 360MB by 6am on october 5 right?

bigger downloads ended at around midnight on 4th right?

i am sorry for being an idiot here because i still cannot see how i consumed 3GB of data before 3am on october 5!

errm. what you posted is from that table i posted? i can see no relation. god i am confused here :D

---

anyways. my 3GB are still unaccounted for. airtel still claims that there is nothing wrong with my data consumption.

i am still getting 1.8-2.1mbps on my 4mbps connection. and this is what they have to say about this complaint.

Do you still have access to the final session on the night of Oct 4th? If you do, check the timing and the usage data.

on airtel website or on my computer?

because airtel seems to have launched a brand new my airtel website which does not seem to have an option to show usage details :|

****ers. even if i select the period from 1 october till today. this is the only data it 'leaks'

this is bitmeter os on my computer:

and smartbytes currently show me 141.21GB

The bandwidth meter that we have install on our computer doesn't matter to Airtel. They go by their server/website. Try "my airtel" link from smartbytes page. That will still take you to the old interface.I guess the website deleted the data usage from your previous bill cycle. It'd be useful if the data usage during the session before Oct 4 04:26 is available.
