Airtel Broadband speed boost

Nope these boosts were for people to experience and get used to high speeds so they would jump up to the new 1Mbps UL plan being launched. Smart marketing!

Mac, the 1 MBPS plan has been out for quite a few days now...just that they havent really advertised about it...dont think thr will be 2 many takers for it at 2222....wat say?

I believe people on TATA infinity 1Mbps will jump to it.plus some pvt offices running 2mbps data limit plans wont mind getting it, Like running 2 connections in bridge mode.:), So in all there is good scope.

...dont think thr will be 2 many takers for it at 2222....wat say?

A lot of business customers are looking for higher speeds but they want the assurance of fixed monthly cost. So this plan at this price will have many takers.

I was thinking about changing from Rs 1299/month 2 Mbps combo plan with 8 GB download limit connection in my office to 1 Mbps unlimited, so I called Airtel customer support. There are two major issues.

1. Airtel is not providing static IP with this connection. They are not willing to provide static IP even if I'm willing to pay extra monthly/yearly charge for static IP. :wall:

2. This connection is for residential customers only. Since my existing connection is in the name of my company, so I can't move from my existing commercial plan to this new plan. I was told that I will have to take a new connection in my individual name. :(

If you are the sole owner of the businees then you should get the connection on your name.:) The broadband market isn't that commercial friendly as yet. (not too residential friendly too for some)

Why wait? be practicle.
Get a 2mbps/1mbps connection or be happy with what all you got.
the choice is yours.:)
Praying for boosts can't be ruled out completely too.:ashamed:

Wait wait and wait ...thats the only option

@mates its a great news tat AIRTEL has introduced an hi-speed (1Mbps)UL internet plan:yahoo: and i think they can reduce the rate of this plan, but its a logic tat everything when introduced will be some what costly and after few months it would be reduced .Guys ,this is the beginning tat the UL-2Mbps plan is not tat much far from us ;most probably by an year it would be introduced :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

the 1-Mbps UL plan is the first step taken by AIRTEL and most probably by 6 months-1 year the UL-2Mbps plan would be available in the market and so wait for some time :P

Srini waiting for something which would be very expensive is not an option, what we want are some cheaper plans. So the wait would actually be for atleast a couple of years more.:)
