@Dibyojyoti Saha i'm probably going to downgrade to 799 from the current 999 ...i have no use for the extra 100 mbps or crap ott content and i follow a strict policy of not paying airtel anymore than i need to ...will save around 3k a year incl. gst - 999 for prime ...interested to see if others feel the same way

Absolutely! That's the way to go. If you are not a heavy Downloader, you won't even notice the difference between 200 Mbps and 100 Mbps or even 40 Mbps for that matter.

are they allowing fiber customers to downgrade to 499 plan? ...i may still stick with 100 megs but still ...also downgraded my nani's connection from 799 to 499 since she was still on 16 mbps adsl and got a msg that engineer visit needed to change modem i wonder if they will leave it as is or upgrade her to vdsl 40 megs or change wiring to fiber

@waterloo_sunset same, I'll go for ₹699 100Mbps plan on Jio after trial is over. ₹999 only gives 150Mbps and some OTTs which I don't need because sports aren't happening this year anyway. When they happen, I'll just get Hotstar sports only pack for ₹299/year. These higher FUPs (3.3TB) have made lower plans more attractive than before. Earlier, higher FUP was a major benefit of higher plans.

airtel is just pathetic , they would be happy selling everyone the top up plan, untill jio remaped there plans for unlimited, pathetic company i wouldn't even go with them if their started pricing lower than jio

Seems like Airtel has updated its T&C again, LCO cities to be offered OTT applications. Crucially, the Xstream Fiber user in LCO cities doesn't have to sign up for Xstream Fiber box to receive the OTT applications. Huge win, I guess. However, the plans in LCO cities have not been updated yet
