#Airtel XStream TV for 999 and above plans include Lions Gate, Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo Me, Hoichoi and Ultra.
All Plans include Unlimited calling.

You need to pay a minimum monthly subscription to use the OTT apps via Airtel XStream DTH Box.

So no Xtreme box and subscriptions to Prime, etc in cities where they provide connection through LCO plus 1k installation charge regardless of your plan or plan duration. wtf? Don't they already make more money by outsourcing to LCO?

What would you guys do if you had the option to either get Airtel through LCO without any app subscriptions or get Jio directly with the app subscriptions. Personally I don't really care about the apps but I'm skeptical of this LCO bs.
 
Change my plan to 499 via app. WAs paying 699 till last month inclusing 100 discount and only getting 40mbps.
Admin how come you were getting 649 plan?

That's exactly the option I had and I went with Jio. Easy decision. I'm not interested this LCO bullshit. And you forgot one major thing, in LCO cities you're required to pay for a minimum of 6 months, they don't give you connection otherwise. Also, they charge you this 6 month advance before giving you connection, then you keep waiting for LCO to give you connection.

Yes. Xstream box is not compulsory for viewing OTT, you can watch the OTT on a different device like your smartphone or a Firestick but to watch OTT on the Xstream box you need to do a minium ₹153 recharge.

Based on @Sushubh 's idea I reached airtel sm out on twitter.

Someone called me and took my request for a plan change to 499/-.
I will get only 24Mbps on all plans (technical constraint) so it makes
no sense to switch over to a higher plan.

Airtel thanks app shows a service request raised with a happy code.
They have asked for a 4 hour time for the upgrade. Someone from
the local engineering team will reach out for the modem change, if
needed.

Will update the other airtel plan change thread once the activation
of the new plan is done.
