Yeah, I saw in some discussion forum that data usage is reflected in unbilled amount for postpaid users. I don't understand why do they require this. I've started 98rs GPRS service from yesterday and I'm afraid I might run out of credit limit soon.
e.g My credit limit is 1400 rs. If they count 30ps for 50KB usage in my unbilled amount, and say if I use 600 MB in a month, it will show (600 * 1024 * 30)/50 paise = 3686 Rupees in my unbilled amount. (Hope my calculation is correct). So I will run out of credit limit well before using 600 MB.

Is there any solution for this?
Also some people were asking about tracking amount of data download/upload. If you are using andriod phone, there is a good app named "netcounter" which you can use. Some mobile phones have their own data counters.

Even the usage within 2GB is reflected in the unbilled amount, and later we get the discount in the bill.

Hi Friends,

Good news for Airtel GPRS (Delhi) users. Yesterday Airtel has launched a new GPRS plan for postpaid customers. Rs. 98 per month with 2GB free download. Check airtel website.

Customer care (@ 121) has confirmed this news.

How to check usage?

a tip to save money on recharges, do a 98 recharge, then 1 day before it expires, do not renew it rather do a Rs 7 or Rs 45 recharge
Rs 7 - 1week and 50 MB
Rs 45 - 1 month 100 MB Rs 30 TT
atleast for me this extends the remaining data in my account, and as i dont use more than 200MB/month(sometimes close to 300), the initial 2 GB lasts for quite a while as you get this additional data.

The above will be beneficial for anyone who uses less than 1GB per month

Also, this is unlikely to last for long as this is happening due to airtel implementing Fair Usage Policy by giving data transfer of 2GB on unlimited(98 recharge). If they had made it truly unlimited, then this bug would not have come up

Is rs7/45 recharge still available?

unfortunately no, they have changed the terms.
The 45 recharge is only for 10 days now and the 7 recharge for 2 days.

So they want us to go for rs 98 plan as all other plans proves to be expensive if calculated for 30 days.

the 45 plan for 10 days still gives you 30 talktime, so you effectively pay 45 per month for net
dont remember the details, but there is also a 34 plan which gives 500MB for 15 days. (effectively 68 for 1GB which for most people is enough data on the phone)
