Airtel DTH/STB Eating My Display

Hi There , I am not sure if someone else is having the same issues with Airtel this is my 3rd Airtel Stb and same problem all the time .When i am watching Tv the Airtel Stb is still on but my V Display goes off and i have to turn off and on the Airtel Stb and it works for like 2-3 Mins and again the same thing ..I got this issue before 2 times and intially i got my LCD Changed thinking it could be a TV Issue.This only Happens with Airtel STB but not with any other Device attached .Any Answers would be Welcome ..Awaiting Reply if anyone has an ideaThx in Advance.Anuj Bhatia.

it's working fine for me have you activated automatic standy in your TV in yes then increase it's time to 3 hrs and also try disabling power saving feature in TV if all this does nor work call CC and complain about it they will replace or repair the STB as necesary

Its only happening with Airtel Stb , I have a Blueray Player, Xbox 360, Ps3, Nintendo Wii and my Pc attached does not happen on anything but only this .. and this is the 3rd time its been happening both the times the Stb has been replaced and it works fine for arnd a month or so and then the same issue.Callin Airtel guys and getting the SB replaced is a Pain in A** they would tke arnd 2-3 weeks to replace the Stb with the new one.. and still they would not be sure to y this is been happening.. is the electricity supply in you area clean are there any fluctuations in the voltage If this is the case then these STB's can get damaged Call and get your STB replaced and then attach it to some Spike Protector or Some voltage Stabilizer and then check if this happens againAnd one more question do they replace only STB or AC/DC Adapter alsoIf they change only STB then ask them to replace the AC/DC Adapter it can also be faulty and might be supplying wrong voltage to STB

There is no fluctuations in the voltage and when they change the Stb its the whole thing i mean the Stb and the Power adapter...The power thing tht you are talkin about i have got that checked it perfectly fine .. if there was somethin like tht i have a lot devices attached it would have been F****d but its not like this .

then it might be your bad luck that every time you got a lemon STB complain again to airtel they will help you

Hi bhatiavk,
Very sorry to hear that your Video Display goes off while STB is on.
1) Check with the screen saver option is Stb under settings and change the screen saver to none.
2) If that's not causing the problem, call Airtel cc and try to speak to any higher level techs. Coz, getting a stb replaced as you know will take a toil of our time.
3) Also the warranty for the device is limited to only 180 days.

In the mean time, may I know the model number of of your lcd
