Airtel DTH: This is How You have to Download Software Manually

I tried the steps and got the software downloaded but it seems that firmware has not been updated. I checked the from system diagnostic and version still dates december 2009...

@Spr Its funny but when I updated mine, I think the lag is pretty much gone, there is still a little lag but not as much as it used to be, much better. I guess my firmware was kinna old.

Software update means Update and not Upgrade.This update is useful if ur stb was on Switch Off mode when the software was upgraded from the ADTV end.

^ I don't understand what you mean.Obviously the stb is on when the software is being downloaded, else how will i see anything on the tv.

Can you guys update everybody, when there is actually a new firmware available so we all can update our STB. Thanks! Also Can someone make a post about how to sync The airtel universal remote to the TV remote, I know there are a lot of posts out there about this, but there isnt one on broadbandforum.co and I bet it would be very useful for Airtel STB users. I would make one but I dont know how to sync . So please someone who does know, can you please make a new post for us. Thanks Again!

help after airtel tv software download channel audio come picture not available on tv screen a msg pop up first installation set up please choose ur language i don no to exit this msg from screen press the exit button but it stay help my stb is old version help

You can read the STB Manual, its is printed (heading would have changed as mine is 1 yr old) in the Universal Remote....

I was trying to do the software downloading as mentioned by you in the same model as in picture,but it is not moving after 97%.I kept it for too many hours.Now whenever starting it will show downloading window and no movement after 97%.What can be done for making it into good condition?Please help..

Not tried, but this is the process and had worked for large number of people as per review on other forums.
