As long as you have CG-NAT IP on your router (e.g. 100.89.XXX.XXX), no matter what you do, you will not be able to have direct port forwarding.

If you are receiving a public IP (i.e., your IP on router and entering ipinfo.io is the same) then, change your server IP to the local IP of the computer hosting the application (e.g. 192.168.1.100) and try again.
 
My IP is same, correct? Sorry I am an amateur, must confirm.



Pls clarify what you mean by local IP of the computer? Is the the ipv4 appearing under ipconfig (underlined in green)?

Thanks. I checked and double checked everything, but the port keeps showing as Closed on port checker website. I don't get it. Pls advise what to do! I am at this for 3 days now!
 
Alternatively, you can try one of the following:
  • Disable port forwarding and put your local IP in DMZ.
  • Lowering your Firewall Level.
  • Try a different router, it is possible the router is locked. (I have never used this ZTE model)
 
I got this router with my new Airtel connection. IPv6 port forwarding was previously working on Nokia router.

I have tried adding local IP in DMZ, port forwarding, port triggering, disabling firewall, and restarting. Nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone managed to open ports on this router?

Edit: Manually binding the 'Network interface' to the local IP interface in qBittorent worked!

Command to find the interface name on Linux: ip addr | grep '192.168.1' | grep -o '\S*$'
