Ok this plan they saying 4999rs rental with 1000gb limit. I would have taken this if it was 16mbit will be perfect for streaming at 1080p in netflix

The 500 gb plan is Powerdata 3000, same name as 5000 other than the number, you can ask them for this and go for it

Thanks for the plan name that's the one i really looking for. I feel 1000gb is too much unless speed is 16mbps not wroth it for a 8mbps speed

I wonder how many hours of content you people watch to even cross 200GB of data per month. how many family members?

Well if internet is being shared with a lot of ppl then not easy to manage. And with the HD streams these days 200gb wont be enough to sustain it for a month

If you are using Netflix, then it consumes 3GB/hour for a HD stream. That means a 200GB limit would last 67 hours or just over 2 hours a day. If you have the medium HD subscription, that would entitle 2 users to watch at a time. So if two sets of people (say two siblings in a family) watch even 1 hour each a day (realistically it would be much more!), the quota would be demolished, and that isn't taking into account any other internet usage.

Other internet usage that can be data heavy, but what I would consider to be ordinary usage:

• Uploading of photos from our camera/ smartphones onto the cloud for backup (YMMV but for me this is about 10GB+ a month)
• Youtube viewing (for about 3-4 people put together I would estimate this at 10-15GB a month)
• Surfing random websites, Facebook etc. (10GB for the family)
• My movie watching has really gone down, so I would put it at 5-10GB. Otherwise if you average one movie every other day in a family (which is quite realistic as that means in family of four, it's one movie per person every 8 days in a family of 4), your usage would be something like 30GB.
• Updating of smartphone apps (~1GB a month per smartphone)
• Updating of anti-virus, programs etc. (~2GB for 3-4 machines)
• Backing up of documents in the cloud (~1GB for 3-4 machines)

200GB is not much anymore. As per the above I would be more comfortable with a 300GB+ plan. 500GB/ 1000GB plans are not on their websites - the maximum you can get is 200GB. Just this past month we ran out of the quota 2 days short of the billing cycle, without any great out-of-the-ordinary usage.

This is spot on which is exactly my problem. And i have like 5 person sharing my line current plan of 250gb runs out a week before my billing period.

I have asked them for a 16mbps upgrade if they offer me that i will be considering the 1000gb seriously as 2 person can stream at a time from Netflix at Full HD
