I had two Airtel Prepaid Nos one for Mumbai circle and the other Karnataka Circle that were due to expire today.

I got a barrage of SMS's from airtel to recharge in addition to the outgoing recordings et al.

On checking my validity today morning both my nos are due to expire on 14th of December 2018. Validity automatically pushed back by 15 days. Apparently this has happened with a lot of users as per the retailer I am pals with.

Do wait until the last day of the validity to see if this works for you.

This is on a connection which is renewed with the ~450 plan with 84 days validity.
The account also has 75 bucks prepaid balance (not sure what happens to it with these new stupid policies implemented).
And of course... If I do a recharge today, I lose 3 days in my previous recharge as Airtel does not support queuing of recharges.
Nice way to annoy the customer who actually is paying 150+ rupees per month with little usage.

I am 72 years old. Need frequent emergency calls from Hospital ICU. These Airtel BASTEREDS never allow for this which creating health problem. Every call they start rechage remind continously for 3 days. We know importance of recharge better than these people. No neccicity to remind. We know they will mercilessly cut off services.
People should see that Airtel owner Mr. Bharathi should be sent to Jail if this nuicence is continued. Thanks four effort to bring it out in public.

this is still happening? because i have not seen this happen over the last couple of months. and i usually still recharge on the last day plan validity.

I guess it does not happen atleast if you are unlimited pack - Not so sure if you are on the other packs.

Well there are plans like 49, with 38 talktime and 1.5p per second calling rate and till some time back Airtel had recharge packs of 35, 65 (or was it 95) and 145. So these had like 60p and 30p calling rates and I guess talk value equal to or slightly less than pack value value and data like 1 GB or 2 GB in total for the duration of the pack, again like 28,56 and 84 days validity.

There is one now for 79 with 64 talktime, 28 days validity , 200 mb data , 60p per minute.
