They don't have fiber installed. Why are they promoting 100 Mbps on every plan?
This upto shit should be removed or TRAI should at-least discuss about it.
Not even 10% of the Delhi has Fiber from Airtel.

^ That's what my concern is. This upto shit is totally shit to be honest. It's misleading of marketing and a wrong way of generating leads.
Just read the flyers they throw at your home for example Den.
They advertise 100 Mbps. But all they offer is 50 Mbps (in my area when they were here)
Airtel promotes Airtel X-Stream Fiber here but they don't even have Fiber here. They have written 300 Mbps on the flyer but all they offer is 40Mbps max.
All I am saying is that, they should not use this upto shit unless they majority offer the speed in a mentioned city.
It's not even the ratio of 1:99 for Airtel Fiber.
I mean, out of 100 towns, not even one have Airtel Fiber (can't have 100 Mbps).
Max of the houses which are away from exchange have just 8 Mbps or 16 Mbps.
Point is: They are charging same money from 8 Mbps and 100 Mbps guys.
It's misleading. If they offer 8 Mbps directly, it will be a lot cheaper. 799 at this point for 8 Mbps? It's nothing less than a scam.
It's all because Airtel don't have competition in landline for a very long time.
Aur 10 saal Jio Fiber na aane do, ye shit Airtel wale copper hi chayenge. Stop adjusting AMD compromising, start complaining for misleading and old shit.
People like me who want airtel level of customer support (more reliable) are forced to use shit ISPs because airtel can't install fiber.
I mean seriously, million dollar company can't afford Fiber in an area where they have more than 1000 households using their broadband but companies like Excitel runs their internet on Fiber backbone for just 50-80 customers in same area?
Companies like ACT runs their whole network on Fiber itself.

Though Airtel provides a great service and customer support, their business practices are always shady as hell.
I can understand BSNL's upto advertising because of the technicalities but i still think they are being reasonable.
But Airtel always had multiple hidden tariff plans, expensive as hell general plans and to top it all off, didn't invest in ofc networks outside of metros when they could have easily laid fiber everywhere and when the competition knocks the door they are now shitting thier pants and putting out half baked plans with an *upto to 100 Mbps for thier cheapest plan and giving a mere 100 gb for a 100 Mbps plans
