900KB/s is too low for 16Mbit, check your sync rate in the modem's GUI. You should ideally be getting over 2MB/s
BT settings are dependent on whether it is a public torrent or private, for private I prefer at max 25, on a public torrent I adjust it on the fly, sometimes as high as 300 peers. If it is well seeded then even 50 does the trick.
@Adidam: Changing the DNS will only speed up name resolution, provided the one you change to is quicker to begin with. It will not increase your download speed one bit.
Could you link to a guide?Another important factor is that you should be reachable on the port specified for incoming connections in your torrent client. So make sure port forwarding is enabled on your router. Trust me, it makes a difference even on well seeded torrents.
Which one of do you use?Yes, what about it?
Are you facing disconnection even after firmware update?yesterday i did complained about link drop
today the guy visited and said send request to change external wiring.
I said wiring is fine, change the modem first and see, that is the easier way.
He said they have binatone and beetel for new connections now.
I said lets try binatone, he said use beetel for 2 more days as he changed firmware, if still problem persists then let me know again.
So anybody using binatone here, does it work fine ? please give your inputs
