@Rohitaneja It comes because of the Exchange Quality, Exchange to Home Distance and Subpillars.

@Adidam exchange to home distance mainly effect the 'speed'

for e.g. my friend lives in a neighbouring sector to mine. Which is 1.2 kms far from my house. Inspite of activation of exact same plan.

The speed he gets DL/UL = 24/4 Mbps, meanwhile DL/UL for me is 42/18 Mbps.

Plus, if the engineer requires to do a re-wire or make changes in any sought of splitter. Don't deny it!
At time of installation of VDSL, they sent a local engineer, but after requesting for link drop issue the other engineer fixed wiring and now my Beetel 777VR1 is good to go :)

Hey Guys,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
Recently upgraded my airtel braodband to vfibre and was having issues related to VPN connection.
The installed router is Beetle 777vr1.

I went through this thread and couldn't find anything related.

Issue :
When I try to connect to company VPN, the connection is succesful.
In a minute or 2 the dsl sync is lost and so my vpn disconnects.
This happens always.

Registered a complaint with airtel last week (18th may).
Their first response was that they don't support VPNs. After reasoning out they agreed to send a technician.
Technician visited on 28th. Spent 4hours and was not able to resolve the issue.
He checked the firmware and it was the latest one.

I have been following up with airtel CC after that.
They don't have any clue and keep telling another technician will visit soon.

Normal internet connection is stable.
Only when I try to connect to my company VPN link drops.

Has anybody faced similar issue?
Any pointers to debug the issue by myself.

Thanks.

Very wrong. Exchange to Home effects the SNR.

@Adidam. Im facing strange disconnection issue. Yesterday my modem was upgraded to V01.00.05_07. When ever internet goes down, it isn't reconnecting automatically. I had to manually restart modem. Earlier my internet was bit stable. Now i don't know whether problem with the firmware.

@tech_bng Thank you for the input. The MTU on modem is 1400. Also when I try to ping the maximum length for which reply is received is 1372. What should be the setting?

Update on my issue.

Airtel has changed the modem to D-Link. Now my VPN connection seems to be fine.

Still the issue is not known with Beetle 777vr1.
