@rajat_ With Airtel, I think you also have option to use Bridge mode, right? It makes the experience better if you want to use your own router, especially for those who play multiplayer games like COD, GTA Online etc. where having double NAT can cause issues.
@Zuke Bridge mode is possible only on the Sercomm ONT by default. For other ONTs(Nokia, ZyXEL etc.) one has to ask Airtel to enable bridge mode which is a tedious process. Airtel's Customer Care and NOC will give more headache than double NAT .
I dont know why someone who has not used ZyXEL claims bridge mode without talking to Airtel NOC cant be enabled.
Please stop spreading wrong information.
Whoever wants to enable bridge mode in ZyXEL, can dm me, its a child's play.
