A package is useless at any price if the channels one wants are not included. What is important is not the number of channels included, but proviaion of the channels one wants.
There are many reasons for SD to reach 1 million in 200 days. TS did it in 300 days and dish
tv took a couple of years. But dish is a pioneer and had to compete with cable pirates and unorganised market. Last year dish also got 1 million new customers. Now, the RCV/
AC spat is also helping SD.
Sun group is versatile and is sure to grow; but the growth rate has to be watched. With only 6 transponders, it may find it difficult to provide more than 150/180 channels.
Do you think that 1 Million custmers did not thought of list of channel while taking DTH?. Why could Dish TV or
Tata Sky capitalise much on RCV spat like Sun Direct??..
On RCV Spat...people changed for one channel called SUN TV...So 1 Million wud have taken on the channel list currently and the trust SUN had buit for decades....
