I meant I wanted to see how it works in the current situation 😆 I'm not new to Aramex, I think I've been a Shop and Ship user since 2010 or so, and have imported a lot of packages, mostly from the US, especially mobile phones when the total duty was 1% (yes, not a typo), the good old days 😭

Aramex is slow though, they don't have fast connectivity as compared to FedEx or DHL.

Yes FedEx and DHL are way faster.
That's why I use either aramex or DHL but FedEx has the best delivery time from India to anywhere in the world.
But FedEx's delivery to India sucks and levy useless additional charges.

Anyone ordering a bulk package from China? Need one of the MI digital thermometer thing. Not sure if it's a good idea to order directly 🤔

Restaurant owner friend took mine and now I need one for myself 😒

Ordered some stuff from Alibaba through Aramex Shop and Ship. The seller shipped to Aramex's address in Shanghai and was received at Aramex Shanghai on Monday. However, it was updated in my account only yesterday due to my account id not being clear on the package (had to email them to tag it correctly)

Uploaded the invoice today and it's currently ready to be forwarded from China. Not sure how long it would take etc.

TBH this was just a sample order to see how the whole thing would work out and I was just curious, so not in any particular hurry or anything. 😅😅

With Shop and Ship, I've already shared my ID proof and IEC certificate which have been reviewed and approved, so no additional paper work is required other than the invoice (hopefully).

For each shipment, once it's tagged to your account, you need to upload the invoice, which gets reviewed and the hold on the shipment is removed once the invoice is approved by them.

SnS costs 10$ for the first half kg, and 8$ for every additional half kg. My package is about 0.8 kg so would be 18$ plus GST. And customs handling charge is only Rs 100 plus tax unlike FedEx which needs Rs 500 + tax. 😑

Finally it's moving 🚀🚀

Guys, any of your packages from AliExpress are stuck at the post office in Kolkata/Delhi/Mumbai? I have a friend who bought a pair of shoes from aliexpress in March, and it's stuck at Kolkata Lcao or whatever's the name since forever. Is there any way to get them to ship it to their local post any time soon?

I ordered a type C charger, and a volt/amp meter with a type c port. The charger has departed China, and should reach India any time this week or next week. Hoping they don't let it be stuck at their office for more than a month.

@JamesHolden25 None of my packages which were shipped after March 10 or so from AliExpress have been delivered. They were not sent by registered mail, so I cannot track it once in India, but from the looks of it, there is a huge build-up of packages due to flight cancellations etc, so it might take a while.

Even my express courier shipment through Aramex was stuck in China for a month (details above). Currently AliExpress doesn't even ship to India other than through express courier options (like EMS, DHL etc).

Regarding your package which is already in India, does it say forwarded from Kolkata? If so it most likely reached the foreign post office (FPO) in your area already but hasn't been processed yet. I've observed that China Post packages land at Kolkata, Singapore Post packages land at Chennai, but no further processing is done there and is simply forwarded to the FPO serving your area.

Yes, I am in a similar situation. I don't know whether these are stuck in post offices or never left from origin countries but it says that it is still in "transit". It's been more than 2 months now, I haven't received any of the products (3-4 packages) I ordered just a week before lockdown. The seller has extended my protection period twice over the last 2 weeks. I don't know what to do. I will wait until the end of the month. If nothing happens, I will open a dispute.

Another weird thing I have noticed from the past week or so is that all the products whether it is worth ₹150 or ₹4000 has extra additional shipping values for products shipping in India. By extra I mean 3000, 4000 rupees extra. Don't know whats going on here. Is AE restricting us to order from their platform or are there any complications between India and China. In some cases, the usually ordered products arent even shippable to India. I am really confused.

@bjorg18 As I stated in the previous post, AliExpress is currently shipping to India only through express courier options (hence very expensive for a low value item), and the regular slower (hence cheaper) options are no longer available. My personal take on that is that, due to lack of flights packages are getting queued up at the origin or intermediate stages leading to lot of delays and customers asking for refund. Hence they probably though its better to suspend those options for now.

They would probably re-enable the cheaper and slower shipping options once the backlog is cleared. Even my packages which were shipped in March and April are undelivered as of now.
