^ For someone like you who watches regional channels of all the languages, sticking to the older packs is a better option. Most people usually watch only one regional language apart from Hindi. These packs suffice well for their purpose.
I currently am on Supersaver Pack + Cosmo Monthly + Lifestyle Gold Pack + 2 Marathi channels. If I downgrade to the newer plans I end up losing most of the regional channels (will get only 2 packs). I currently pay 385/-, but would have to pay Rs. 350 for the Grand pack (and lose all regional channels apart from the 2 free packs).
I hope that Tata Sky doesn't force old users to move on to newer packs. If so it would be a problem later on.
Looks like it's time to change to another DTH provider, possibly Airtel DTH (don't trust reliance Big TV)
I would prefer to stick with the old packages as i am in super value pack as it costs me only 200 bucks per month and now zee classic and utv action are also now included in this pack only.....apart from this i m also subcribed to cosmo and Lifestyle pack sports pack according to the sports i subcribe so the at the end of the month i pay 290 now if subscribe to supreme pack the after that i have to get subcribe to kids pack ,english movies pack and i "ll pay them 220+45+45=310.so this whole new true choice is nothing but to fool the customers.

Maybe its waste for u. But useful for others.
say someone from north subscribed to super saver pack+ls+cosmo =275+45+45=365....
Now he can get same in 350 ... a saving of Rs. 15....
on the other hand... if some one from south earlier had south jumbo pack+ls+cosmo=310+45+45=400
now even he can go for grand pack for Rs. 350 (coz 2 regional top ups are free).... saving of Rs. 50...
It really is a matter of viewpoint. I saved 150 bucks per month by switching to the new packs, I took only those channels that are watched at home, and my monthly bill came down from 320 earlier to 170 now. In addition, I have taken an Annual Pack, which further reduces my monthly average spend on TV to 157.50 INR. Needless to say I am now very pleased with this flexibility.
You will have to call them up to change. Remember though that they are trying to be smart asses in case you have any existing annual or semi annual packages. In that case, they say you will lose the entire amount. You need to tell them to change it to monthly first and then do the change.
No! As per CC you will loose the entire amount, changing to monthly is not possible.:ishock:

Yes ur right. All the amount be gone
I have done it, and hence I mentioned it. Rest is your luck I downgraded from Annual to Monthly. Then on the next call, I switched to Tru Choice packages.
