@sahir : Well ! You can't expect ethicality for all. For New LYF users it may be unethical but I know a lot of them who are using LYF phones for more 3months now and they very well got the price they paid for and again they are getting UL till DEC 31 means another advantage but I fell pity for few who still complain about 4GB fup a day. Seriously these is mobile network so use like that and even I wouldn't bother If they convert me to 4GB a day fup thing even though I purchased mifi for 900Rs. more than the users who will be getting the same device for after sep. 5. Using more than 120GB (4GBX30) would be like abusing a mobile network I guess, Those who think It isn't enough then they should better get BB. According to airtel 4GB a day equals ( 1000Rs.) because for them data is commodity , I am skeptical about JIO plans but preview or welcome offer is above expectation.
i certainly do not mind their FUP. they have every to impose that and other conditions they think fit but the fact that they are capping the lyf users while exempting the jiofi users (where, in both the cases, the customers have bought a device and the free preview offer is complimentary along with it) creates an army of dissatisfied customers like me who wouldn't have had a problem had this been done 'ethically' and applied to all and sundry. reliance still has not learnt the art of customer service and will pay the price like rcom did. ultra cheap tariffs are not sustainable in the long run and ultimately, in the 21st century, customer still will make or break a company.

i would like to end with an example of customer service i witnessed firsthand. i had ordered a phone through Amazon via normal 2-4 days delivery speed but itch to get it early got to me and i sent an email to amazon cc'ing mr. jeff bezos that i wanted my delivery early as i have to travel to my HomeTown suddenly. i got a call from amazon's india management saying that mr. bezos had deputed him to see that my complaint is acted upon to my satisfaction. by late evening , i had the delivery guy on my doorstep with my package. he told me he was sent just for my package.

now, amazon did not have to do that. they were under no obligation. my request was not even justified as i could have paid for speedy delivery but the fact that they went that extra mile (actually, a lot of miles) for me made me happy and i dont even check out flipkart or snapdeal or any other website anymore. amazon has my full faith.

@Bsnl Super User it just doesn't make sense keeping lyf users out like that. they have paid money for JPO-more money than jiofi owners for under specced and over priced phones. my jio preview was till 6th October after having bought a lyf sim but now i am on JWO and the speeds have fallen too.
their sole purpose was to clear the Lyf stock as soon as possible & they were lucky that shit sold at doubled the price, now lyf phones at priced at market rate, they have no worries, their old stocks cleared at doubled price.

They initially cleared the fact that they are only charging for Device which you are purchasing and not for UL data. If you clearly look at manual of LYF device (Jiofi in my case ) It clearly states as the JPO is offered as complementary offer and JIO reserves the right to take it back any time. Secondly, JIO in first place wouldn't had these FUP if the users hadn't abused their network.
Now coming to ethicality part JIO very well knows how to play with disclaimers to be on safe side. I would agree that only the users of LYF who had their JPO subscription left out should been provided JPO till expiry and they would be at loss and would be unethical but legally correct on part of JIO as they have already launched their network and they don't want anyone to congest their network which could further improve user experience for all. Like initially I was getting very low speed but soon speed seems to improve for me but with capped speeds on some website. I would still say that JWO is like UL plan only but with the certificate that they don't misuse the network by overusing it. Atlast who could forget the pain of standing in line for getting free sim and I was given VIP treatment in ther DX store as they filled form for me, no queue and most importantly DX store guy obligation to answer you as you paid for the service and could ask for refund if activation not done in time.
Who will buy 2000 rs phone for 4000??
For that jio offer I bought that phone on sep 3rd on 6th my plan changed.

Looking at the current situation I want to clarify some facts.
1. It doesn't matter whether they are treating customers differently. If you have committed to provide unlimited access for three months then you got to offer unlimited access for three months. Customers should not suffer if their network gets abused and congested. They are the sole reason to lure people into believing bullshit and wasting their time which is more precious to a person than their bandwidth.
2. It doesn't matter whether they are beta testing their services or providing that for free. They charged me whatever they charged me for the LYF device and the profit is going to RIL and RIL is pumping that money to RJIL. I dont care they call it jio or maro and how they are avoiding that 15% service tax on the profit. I gave them my money and they are supposed to comply to what they committed.
3. They promised me unlimited free calls and Internet now they calling fowl on POI, premium International bandwidth bla bla bla. Why should I be bothered about their problems.
4. If you want to lure customers with cheap offerings under some disguised and unintelligible T & C written below those superficial adverts then you cant blame your consumers when something goes wrong with your original plan. Jio claims their plans are simple, but I see their plans are twisted and complex to comprehend for average people.
Organizations like TRAI are there to settle this type of violations where millions of poor consumers are going to be affected in the near future. Something seriously needs to be done so that any telco thinks twice before endorsing such cheap marketing strategies in India.

Guys a weird thing happened yesterday. The Fup limit was not enforced.I thought it was due to me taking the sim out so i recreated the same conditions but today it was reset so it must have been a fluke. But i have 1 more theory on the days on which the FUP was enforced,i was downloading torrents but on the day that it was not i was downloading using IDM and after the 4gb limit was crossed it was fine to download using torrent until night when it gets reset. Can someday confirm this?

Btw i can confirm there is no unlimited 2-5am usage on welcome offer

Edit:Basically can somebody try to download a 5 Gb file through IDM uninterrupted

try to use VPN all time and download more then 4GB data then check speed.

VPN doesn't work i have tried before. Even the concept doesn't hold. Vpn basically provides a new ip address to your phone hence the data used on that phone will be attributed to that ip address but the data provided by jio is sim locked ie jio send a certain amount of data everyday to a particular sim that is automatically cut off and reset at a particular time. No matter which ip address uses it the data is being used for that particular sim. So its useless. You can't fool the isp.

The idea i suggested may work due to fact that tha automatic cutting off is not enforced due to yhe multiple concurrent connections of idm.
