An Open Letter to MTNL

Wishlist for 2011

1. Faster speeds at lower rate(Lowest Speed should be minimum of 512 instead of 256)
2. Improvement in the existing Customercare,
3. Properly trained lineman.
4. Expansion of the existing mail box from 4 MB to 4 GB.
5. All Plans should be equipped with 2mbps of bandwidth.

If you have anything more to add, Please do

would not be possible if they do not go for an external service provider. airtel use google infrastructure so each user gets around 7GB.

I wud say my wish wud be 1, 2..Linemen i have seen todate are all well trained. But if u mean lazy then I am with you.. some linemen are just lazy, so they shud be trained not to be lazy!

rationalise the number of plans & give more in speeds & limits and reduces rates if possible, MTNL & BSNL which were to spearhead the so called Broadband revolution in this country in 2010 flopped miserably because they were not innovative enough inspite of having almost all the copper wire tel lines in the country

Which part of MUmbai are you in , I am in Prabhadevi v close to exchange & they still have bozos here

@kreacher10 I am on Prabhadevi exchange too & I have bozos here too , to be fair they are ok with the voice part of it but when it comes to b'band they are at sea, they have told me that 'company' does not train them (their words not mine):wall: but they are picking up from the 'boys' who are sent along with them who come from pvt companies whcih employs students of h/w training institutes

V true, I have noticed these 'boys'. One guy called Ansari had come to my house with the linesman when my D-Link modem/router used to DC a year ago & he was v frank in telling me that it was happening all over Mumbai.

One more thing i thought of adding is, Securing the login page of MTNL which is used for checking our account details. It should be "https" enabled with a valid security certificate.

Yes we had that too & we had called it 'April Problems' in those days, I see you were not a member then

Dont know about Mumbai , but here in Delhi , the minimum plan is 512 kbps. 2 and 3 are highly unlikely. I just want them to double speeds
