100-200GB is going to be nothing if services like Netflix and video on demand are to appear in India.

bandwidth has to become a commodity like water and power. operators are not the ones to decide how much i should be able to use in a month. they just need to price it in such a way that everyone can afford high speed internet connectivity based on their usage.

That's why I said, at current speeds, customers will barely reach those limits. So FUP is not required. I do believe that the services like netflix, hulu & lovefilm will take some years to start.

whats stopping them from starting already? i mean the average internet speed in india as per speedtest i believe is already higher than 1mbps. youtube is broadcasting dabangg legally in india and internationally. youtube broadcasted ipl matches live on their network. i mean the infrastructure is already there.

The online entertainment companies do not see India as a market for now. Slowly and surely they will start. But again you cannot expect 4 mbps, 5 GB limit customers to make use of HD streaming content. At the moment, those 4 plans are the best which MTNL can come up with. HD stuff will have to wait.
